Sheets: Obviously, you will be provided with a basic bed and a mattress, but you need to get sheets for the same. Most dorms are furnished with extra-long twin beds, therefore, ensure you buy sheets that fit these beds. You will not need a sheet with a very high thread count, but make sure that the quality is good. Also, buy your sheets according to the climate of the place your college is situated in. Opt for flannel sheets for cold climes and cotton sheets for warmer ones.
Believe it or not, children's bedding can also help encourage and nurture children's interests and talents. Is your child a budding athlete? Then he or she will welcome curling up at night underneath a Soccer World or Grand Slam duvet cover. Does your child love animals and express concern for the environment? Try an animal-themed covers, such as Rain Forest Frog, Java Giraffe, and African Safari.
Most college dorm rooms have furniture, which is very basic and utilitarian, and staying in this room comes with quite a long list of dos and don'ts. Sure, you can try and personalize the space, but forget about painting the walls or changing the stained wallpaper. Also, unless you are aiming at being suspended in the first week of college, do not use that hammer on your room wall. If you really want to give the room some elan, try and opt for stylish and comfortable bedding.
- Now measure the duvet, and make markings on the sheet. Remember to add a few inches extra to the actual length - and width of the duvet, for the cover .
