Sheets: Obviously, you will be provided with a basic bed and a mattress, but you need to get sheets for the same. Most dorms are furnished with extra-long twin beds, therefore, ensure you buy sheets that fit these beds. You will not need a sheet with a very high thread count, but make sure that the quality is good. Also, buy your sheets according to the climate of the place your college is situated in. Opt for flannel sheets for cold climes and cotton sheets for warmer ones.
Purchasing all of these things singly will cost much more. However, when you a buy a full set of floral cover then you don't have to bear this extra cost. And, at the same time you can get all the additional accessories by just paying for the entire set.
Duvet covers feature buttons and zippers, which make it easier to remove these covers and wash them. However, the duvet in itself must not be washed unless specifically mentioned on the label as 'washable'. The reason being, a duvet is made of soft, natural filling, which may transform into clumps after drying.
